I was super excited yesterday.
I bought a book.
Actually I was contemplating on which book to buy from the Kinokuniya.
I almost walked out empty handed. But I changed my mine after walking a few steps away from the shelves.
I went to the shelves for two days before I made up my mind to get the book.
It’s a beading book in Japanese. Smart eh? There are illustrations for every design. So it won’t be a problem for me. Should I get the other book that I was contemplating too? Hmmm..very tempted to get it.
Cannot! Cannot! Must not get it yet. Hehehe.

Facebooking
I guess everyone knows bout Facebook. Ok ok..almost everyone.
You can add tons of applications and fiddle around for awhile before getting bored of them. I was once addicted to Facebook but I got over that phase. Used to have many applications but deleted them when I found it to be boring.
I just join a group name "Lish". It’s a lady selling her costume jewelleries. From necklaces to earrings to..thats all I think. >__< BLOODY expensive!!! I almost fainted when I saw the prices. But it’s really pretty!! I got to know this group from my sis. She also another kaki Facebook.
Hmmm..it does give me ideas to make some interesting costume jewelleries.^__^

Poem
If you wanted the moon,
I sling a rope around it and pull it over your window,
If you wanted the sun,
I wear it a shades and park it by your pool side,
If you wanted the earth,
I would deliver it in silver platter.
Cashmere Mafia
Last weekend I went back hometown. I was kejar-ing a new series. CASHMERE MAFIA! It’s not about any mafia or yakuza (I like this word-yakuza. There is this food outlet where I have to pass to my workplace everyday, it’s named rakuzen. But everytime I see that word, the first word to pop into my mind is yakuza. Evil huh?! Back to my cashmere mafia story).
It’s about 4 ladies (knowing each other for 15 years). All of them are high position holders in big companies. They were called the Cashmere Mafia since their business school days. They protect each other and discuss their personal ups and downs. Actually cashmere mafia is for the boys’ club. These power ladies have complicated life. Let me intro you the four characters:
- Mia Mason (Lucy Liu): Publisher at Barnstead Media.
She got the job after competiting with her fiancé played by Tom Everett Scott as Jack Cutting for the same post. Her fiancé broke off their engagement after knowing that she got the job. Oh yeah, who ever doesn’t get that position will get the boot. So he was booted out. I guess not all guys can take that outcome. Oh oh oh..her one of her boyfriend was a neurosurgeon. DAMN GOOD LOOKING FOR AN ASIAN!!! Hahahaha. Played by Jack Yang.
- Zoe Burden (Frances O’Connor): Former Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Gorham Sutter.
This lady before she quit her job, she is quite a control freak. She is married to a super nice guy, Eric Burden played by Julian Ovenden (good looking) and have two kids. Husband works as an architect. Before he got a job, he was a househusband. ^__^ Her co-worker really knows how to take credit for whatever things she did. That got her so mad and quit the job as she was supposed to get the position of Vice chairman. I guess many companies still caters to men.
-Juliet Draper (Miranda Otto): COO of Stanton Hall Hotels & resorts.
She looks quite like an ice queen. Her husband is playboy. She knows it but she ignores all of them till her husband, Davis Draper (Peter Hermann) was fooling with Cilla Grey (Noelle Beck) which she don’t like her at all. Her good friends told her the news before she went to receive an award for her hard work. And before she went up stage, she told her husband and said “I’m going to choose one of your friend to be my lover.” To pay back for what her husband had done. HEBAT!! Well she did, but not really an affair. She couldn’t do it. But she almost did it without the sex part. She divorced her husband and her useless husband actually ask her to pay his lawyer fee too. TOTAL USELESS!
- Caitlin Dowd (Bonnie Somerville): Senior VP for marketing at Lily Parrish Cosmetics.
She has quite a haywire relationship. From straight to bi to straight again. Yeah..weird lady! When she doesn’t tell the truth, a pimple will pop up her face. Won’t that be good to detect liars? But it doesn’t work for me la. Hahhaha.
Watched from episode 1-7. And it was axed. SAD! Nice series. Really love how the ladies hold such high positions. All so successful but not in relationship. To be a power lady, I guess you can’t have the best of everything.
If you have the chance to watch this series, do try to download it. Much better than Desperate Housewives.
Again mohney
I did some calculating for the whole cost of a bracelet I’m doing for my sister. I was pretty surprised that it cost so much. I wonder how am I going to put extra for my workmanship. How ar? Hope she will be okie with it. >__<
Oh..any of you guys can give any suggestion where to buy affordable beads in bulk or any wholesalers? I can’t afford to get expensive ones for long. So please do tell me if you know any. Thanks a lot!

Mohney mohney mohney!
Well people..

By the way I'm doing costume jewellery but kind of hanging in the middle. Doing that too need mohney to buy the stuufs. Not cheap stuffs.
Hmmm...so do help! Don't tell me to do data entry stuffs yeah! HELP!!
Places & mohney!
What I meant was: MONEY! To visit places, you need money, right?
RIGHT!!
I so wish to travel around Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak! Many beautiful islands to discover and not to forget food, food & FOOD!! And the amazing sceneries from the kampong sites to beautiful beaches and night light of cities. In order to capture all the moments, camera will be the best tool. But what if you don’t have a camera? You need to get one which means you need mohney!! I know you probably would suggest to get a cheap camera but I don’t want to get a low end camera. I want a camera that can serve me for a long time. And I like canon or Nikon brand camera!
I was reading a blog yesterday. This blogger was travelling around the Asian countries. She went to Laos, Bangkok, Vietnam, Pulau Sipadan and probably many more places! She is not even working!! She is still a student but she is doing part time jobs. She uses her own mohney to travel! And she bag-pack. That’s a good way for tight budget travelers. I dare not bag-pack alone. She does it alone! BRAVE dudette! Oh yah…her Pulau Sipadan pictures are gorgeous!! I SO WANT TO GO THERE!!! The water is super clear! And I want to participate in Vietnam CNY! You know why? I heard that their CNY celebration is for a week and many activities are done! Unlike here..pretty quiet. I want to join Water festival in Thailand! Damn! So many things! I need to save my mohney! And I don’t care, by this year I’m going to Pulau Redang!! I’m going …I’m GOING!!
Okie okie..don’t get to emo! Hehehehe. Well, the person I was mentioning is Nicole. She is in my list of bloggers. Check out her blog.

Mother earth.
Did you know yesterday was Earth Day? On the 22th April 2008. I only knew that when I was listening to the radio.
Did you all do anything to make it worth while? Like not using the car but uses the public transport? Or try to use less paper?
I didn’t do much about anything. I’m always using the public transport. I recycle my papers in the office. That’s the only thing that I do. Oh another thing, you know the tissue papers have a few layers right? I always pull out the layers and not use everything in a go. Usually I’ll pass the extra and give it to my sister whenever we are out for dinner or lunch. Hehehe. A way of using less tissue. The best would be using handkerchief. Besides, I’m not a hanky type of girl. :)
Well, it’s really sad to see when people uses tissue paper like it’s free. Especially when you go to public toilets. I wonder how many rolls of papers are wasted to dry hands. And and…when air con is turn on to the full blast in office. Hello!! This is Malaysia..not UK. We don’t need freezing cold environment. Wasting electricity. SIGH!!
The list goes on and on. People please try to save. Not for you now but for our own future!
Relay.2.
Oops..bout the relay thingy. The next stop after Malaysia was Jakarta. They didn't have the relay for open public but they invited certain people to the special event. The running was done in a studium. Run five laps..the torch was off to Australia. Don't ask me what's the next stop. I don't have any idea.
Relay
22/4/08
The torch was lit on the 24th March 2008 in Greece by Maria Nafpliotou. Do you all know who am I referring to? What torch?
Well yesterday, the torch reached Malaysia. That’s the biggest hint! Don’t tell me you still can’t guess it. This is the second time Malaysia participated in the torch relay after 28 years of the BIG game! Ok ok…it’s the Olympic Games. I’m not counting the very first time this game started but from 1896. It’s every four years. This year the big game will be held in Beijing, China. China will be the 3rd country in Asian to hold this game. First is Japan then South Korea.
Actually Olympic has started way back in 776BC or some scholar said it was between 884BC & 704BC. Did you know that this game was for young men only? Bias huh? Well they have a reason..that’s because they compete in nude. WOAH!! Hehehe… It’s a celebration of the achievements of human body. Winners don’t get gold medal or $$$ but rewarded with crown of olive leaves back in the BC era. Olive branch meant sign of hope and peace. If they kept with the same winning price, do you think people will still participate in the Games? I wonder. Probably some will but I think majority will not. Since many people don’t see olive branch as a sign of hope and peace but a bundle of leaves that will wilt in a few days. RIGHT?!
And another did you know. Did you know that torch bearing was not included in the ancient Olympic Games? And same goes with the interconnecting rings. Only introduced in the modern Games. The 5 ring (white, red, blue, green, yellow & black) actually represent the each nation colour, that’s because at least some nation have one of the colour. See..so not bias at all. Hahahaha. The relay actually was intro in 1936. French & English is the official language of the Games. And and and there will be 28 sports to be running in the Beijing Olympic Games. Well you can actually find all this info in Wiki. Hehehe. I’m just stating the interesting fact of did you know.
I was really amazed that there were so many people participating in KL torch relay. SO MANY CHINESE from China came over to be part of it. I wonder if everyone knew bout this torch relay in KL. And I meant the Malaysians. You know how Malaysians can be pretty oblivious with such great event happening. KLCC was the last destination of the torch relay. I don’t know who are the runners that participated for Malaysia relay. The next stop for the torch to be is in Thailand. Right? Hehehe.
That’s all for my torch thingy for you all.

Feeling left out...
I should make a point to do things. Right now, I'm having a new task to accomplish. My sis request me to do her 30 bracelets for her friends as a wedding gift. A token of appreciation to her bride maids. HEHEHE!! So happy!!
